Rounding numbers is a practical skill for estimation and simplifying numerical data. Through various exercises and voice-guided explanations, this lesson offers students an in-depth understanding of rounding rules.

For instance, if students encounter the number 347 and are asked to round it to the nearest hundred, they learn that since the tens digit (4) is less than 5, the number rounds down to 300. Conversely, if asked to round 856 to the nearest hundred, they learn that since the tens digit (5) is 5 or more, the number rounds up to 900.
