Rounding is a practical skill for estimation and simplifying numerical data. This lesson provides students with an in-depth understanding of rounding rules Through various exercises and voice-guided explanations.
For example when students encounter the number 347 and are asked to round it to the nearest hundred they learn that since the tens digit 4 is less than 5 the number rounds to 300. If they are asked to round 856 to the nearest hundred, they learn that since the number is 5 or more, the number goes up to 900.
